Assembly
An elegant wine of oustanding vivacity.
La Côte aux Enfants Champagne is a wine composed of 100% Grand Cru pinot noir, from the single La Côte aux Enfants plot. This champagne has been cellar aged with natural cork for twice as long as required by appellation. Dosage is low, 4 grams per litre.
Sensations
A contrasting wine year, challenges met.
The 2013 wine year is marked by a succession of particular climatic conditions: a rainy spring but combined with a hot summer with the strongest sunshine ever recorded in Champagne. Despite these strong constraints, this harvest offers grapes of high quality, particularly for the Grand Cru d’Aÿ.
To the eye
A color with golden yellow reflections.
To the nose
There are notes of menthol and ripe fruit complemented by aromas of acacia honey and citrus.
On the palate
A lively and complex palate, with nice acidity. Flavors of lemon, ripe fruit and curry accompany buttery notes and candied red fruits.
